Sokol Blosser Winery
We first began working with Susan Sokol Blosser in 1996, and designed their first packaging system since the winery planted vines in 1971. Now a legendary winery in the Dundee Hills of Oregon’s Willamette Valley, the Sokol Blossers were among the first 5 families who established the now famous Oregon wine country.
We worked closely with the winery over the years and concepted, designed, and created packaging and marketing support materials for all of the SBW wines over time, including their White Riesling, Evolution and Meditrina wines.
Opportunity→
The opportunity over time was multi-tiered. First, Sally re-designed the Sokol Blosser identity by creating the SB “sun” icon and typography system. We developed the multiple Estate packaging tiers with the low-slung label and tab that became iconic over time. Packaging for new wines followed as well as exterior signage for the winery, interior signage for the original tasting room, and collateral for the new tasting room built in 2013 by Allied Works.

Part of our rebranding campaign was the development of a full set of collateral, signage, gift product packaging, and business system for the winery. Sokol Blosser continues to outpace the competition in Oregon for their brand strength and consistency.
