Open Claim Vineyards

Brett and Marnie Wall are realizing their dream of owning and operating a winery. This is a venture of love, and their second careers, so they want to bring the farm up right. Organic farming and a small premium wine yield to start and grow their offering over time.

Open Claim Vineyards located in Dallas, Oregon is where our branding project begins.

Opportunity→

The goal was to create brand messaging unique to OCV's location and the personal journey it took them to get there. Honoring the land and vines that are carefully cultivated and the wine that is skillfully and lovingly made. The visual and verbal messaging would be designed to evoke customer curiosity and loyalty over time.

Result→

The OCV brand icon has a rustic bronze finish with a modern feel; the bottle labels are soft off-white with an embossed compass rose pattern. The bottles come wrapped in printed tissue with an illustrated antique map of the vineyard and surrounding landscape, delivered in a branded 3-bottle clamshell box with a personalized thank you. The branding, design, and messaging connect the customer to this special wine from this beautiful vineyard, and the unique journey it took to make it.

Open Claim is expanding – their elegant tasting room at the vineyards in Dallas, OR is now joined by a new location in Dundee. Menus, collateral, and a business system have been designed to support ongoing marketing efforts. As the wine list grows, the long-awaited 19’s 25 Pinot Noir (25 barrels of their special 2019 PN) is availaable in limited release, as well as new wine offerings and packaging soon to be launched.
